Makenzie brings a fresh perspective to leadership, blending psychology, coaching, and a healthy dose of curiosity to help leaders and teams understand what’s really driving their behaviour, and what might be getting in the way.

With a Master’s degree in Psychology and more than 20 years of experience across therapy, coaching, and leadership development, Makenzie has built her career around one thing: understanding people. She began as a therapist in the prison system before moving into coaching and eventually founding her own company, Love Your Mondays, where she has spent more than a decade helping people navigate work, leadership, and change.

Today, Makenzie works with leaders and organizations to turn psychological insight into practical action. Her workshops and speaking engagements are designed to be thought-provoking, highly interactive, and (importantly) useful long after everyone leaves the room. No death-by-PowerPoint. No inspirational posters pretending everything is fine.

She brings a unique ability to make complex human behaviour easy to understand, giving leaders and founders practical tools to communicate better, delegate more effectively, build stronger teams, and create the conditions for people to do their best work.

Her work has taken her across North America and Europe, onto stages including Cannes Lions, where she has delivered workshops for some of the world's leading organizations. She lives in Vancouver, swims in the ocean year round and will absolutely ask to pet your dog.

I'm Kristine Miguel, a Canadian CPA, entrepreneur, community builder, and someone who spent a lot of years doing exactly what I was supposed to do.

I built the career, collected the credentials, climbed the ladder, and eventually built businesses of my own. On paper, it looked like success. And honestly, a lot of it was.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I was craving something that I wasn't finding in the rooms I was in.

Not because I wanted to burn it all down. I just wanted to get past the polished updates and have the conversations that happen when the professional masks finally come off.

When “How’s work?” turns into “Do you actually like what you’re doing?”

When someone admits they’re questioning the career they worked so hard for, wondering what they’d do if money weren’t the deciding factor, or quietly trying to figure out who they are when they’re not busy being impressive.

That's why I created The Right Room Collective.

I'm building the community I wish I'd had earlier. The kind where you meet someone whose life makes you rethink what's possible for yours. Where an idea you've been quietly sitting on gets met with curiosity instead of skepticism. Where you can say the thing you've been afraid to say out loud and hear, “Me too.”

And we're just getting started.

Is this a networking event?
Not in the traditional sense. While you’ll absolutely meet interesting and driven people, The Right Room Collective is focused on meaningful connection and thoughtful conversation, not transactional networking or professional posturing.
Is this just for accountants and finance professionals?
No, but many people in the community come from accounting, finance, corporate, and other high-performance professional environments where achievement and productivity are deeply ingrained.

The Right Room Collective was created for thoughtful people who are craving more depth, connection, and alignment beyond traditional definitions of success, regardless of industry.
What kinds of people attend?
People who are ambitious and reflective. Many are professionals, creatives, founders, or people navigating some kind of personal or professional evolution. What they tend to have in common is curiosity, openness, and a desire for deeper conversations than they’re finding in most spaces.
I’m introverted / coming alone. Will this be awkward?
Many people attend solo, and the gathering is intentionally designed to feel welcoming, conversational, and low-pressure.
What should I expect from the evening?
Think thoughtful dinner-party energy, not corporate networking event. Great conversations, interesting people, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can show up as a full human, not just your job title.
Is this going to become a larger community?
Yes. The inaugural gathering is the beginning of a broader vision for The Right Room Collective, including future gatherings, community experiences, and ongoing spaces for connection and growth.
